Chaowen is an architect focused on Urban Environment, Climate Neutrality, Urban Digital Twin, and Point Cloud.

Yao Chaowen at present is a PhD candidate at Aalto University.
His research focuses on urban carbon neutrality and climate resilience in the context of smart cities. His main research interests include computation and real-time simulation of urban vegetation carbon capture under the context of digital twins and virtual reality, urban tree information collection based on point cloud and remote sensing technologies, as well as simulation of urban thermal and wind environments.
